Rublev Colours Verditer Blue is a historic blue watercolor that is semi-transparent and moderately staining. Verditer Blue is artificial basic copper carbonate, which was popular in distemper and water-based paint during the 17th to 19th centuries. Start off with a deep azure and watch how this slightly granulating paint travels quickly in water. Fade the wash to the color of cornflowers for surprising effects. Dilute it to the palest sky blue.
